Planning Blog: Title Design

Image
Font: Raleway BEBAS NEUE CINZEL Contrast: Color- White Size- small Purpose—The audience needs to read the title and understand the importance of where and why it will be placed. Working Title: what's really there? How will the titles enter and leave? The "Name of the Studio" will appear on the screen when it goes from black to the sky on a cloud. And it will leave when the camera moves down. The "name of the production company" appears on the side of the house when the camera moves from the sky to the wall underneath the window. It disappears when the camera zooms into the window where the scenes occur. The "names of the actors" will appear when we see the inside of Haley's Room with everyone in it. And they each will leave when the next person is shown. The "film title" will appear on the railing where the stairs are. The film title will leave when Bianca's hand covers that specific part of the railing. The title of "Music By ...

genre research: Maze runner

Genre Research: Maze Runner The Maze Runner has dystopian elements such as a controlled environment where they all stay, Glade, a false sense of safety, and a larger manipulative system. It explores rebellion and survival as the characters unravel the ugly truth about their society. Some elements of the movie I did like were the intensity and suspense of survival. The Glade with its hidden dangers and monsters and the struggle to escape, kept the tension high and the plot engaging. I enjoyed the theme of rebellion as the characters start to slowly uncover the truth about their situation and fight back against the system they live in. Some conventions of The Maze Runner I did not like was that the froducers and directors did not go in-depth about what was on the other side of the maze. The focus was heavily on the survival of the characters and escape leaving the outside world unexplored and unexplained

Title Research: what happened to monday?

What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? The titles that are displayed in the opening sequence of the movie "What happened to Monday" were the names of people who helped produce the movie. The movie title was displayed across the scene with a background of the city. - What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? People that live in this world and the overall city itself were prioritized in the opening sequence of this film. One main thing that this film focused on in the opening was children and babies. - How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? This film established a feeling of a dystopian by the opening scene showing a hat there is a specific way people live there. It also shows that it is a dystopian because it focuses on how there was a problem with how babies are being born, showing that it is out of place.

Movie Convention: Divergent

Image
Divergent incorporates a controlled society by the head people of the world, it is divided into factions that enforce conformity and suppresses personality and individuality. The genre Dystopian, shown in Divergent, is a rebellion against this authority, exploring the themes of freedom and identity. What I liked about Divergent was how it used the conventions of the dystopian genre to create a very mind-challenging story. The division of society into factions based on personality traits was fascinating because it showed how people are "owned" and "labeled". Tris, the main character, challenged this oppressive system and uncovered the lies behind this so-called perfect world. Some conventions that did not appeal to me were when the factions of society felt overly simplistic, and they did not explore the complexities of human nature. The reliance on a chosen-one narrative, where Tris is destined to save the system made the movie feel predictable.

Movie Convention: What happened to monday?

Image
Genre Research: What Happened to Monday? The elements and conventions of the dystopian genre of "What Happened to Monday?" depict a seemingly perfect society masking oppressive control and forcing the characters to uncover hidden truths. Other conventions from both movies focus purely on what the future will uphold and different theories of what the future will perceive. Some conventions I liked about the movie "What Happened to Monday?" were how there were children born on each day of the week, and how the society they live in now is only accepting of one child belonging to a parent. Another convention is when the sisters lose one of them to the government and they all end up working together to uncover the truth and expose the moral cost of the system's illusion of order for one child Some conventions of the movie I did not like are how they're being excessively violent, it was very graphic. Another convention was the lack of character depth and how i...

This is because I love horror films and I love uncertainty about the plot. Elements that don't appeal to me include the suspense and tension. This is because it sometimes stresses me too much

Title research: Maze Runner

Image
for Maze Runner, there are no titles in the opening scene. The image in the opening scene is a black screen with loud noises, shifting to Thomas (the main character) In a shaft speeding upwards. Leading to the glade where he was being kept. This scene establishes a dystopian feeling by the black screen creating an unsettling feeling of not knowing what is happening, and not knowing how thomas  got there. which created a sense of uncertainty and isolation which is common in dystopian movies.

Genre Decision: Dystopia

Image
Dystopia  my group and I decided to make our opening sequence a dystopia. We came to this conclusion because we all love dystopian films. And because of that, we would love to create one of our own. Not only that but, The other genres we discussed, thriller, comedy, and romance, wouldn’t be as ideal because of the setting we are able to film in. As well as for the fact that they aren’t as fun. The thriller is also a lot harder because of the resources we would need for it. So with all that in mind, we decided to make a dystopia.

Our Pitch

Image
Pitch A: A group of friends decides that this summer will be their best yet, but things don't turn out as they'd expected. Pitch B: The world is a perfect place where nothing can go wrong and everyone is happy. But who said that it was all real? Pitch A discussion: The pitch "A group of friends decides that this summer will be their best yet, but things don't turn out as they'd expected." would seem very fun to create because it gives suspense and unawareness about what could happen. I would love to be able to create that and put it into film. The pitch's promise of a beautiful summer, perhaps with darker, unexpected turns to heighten the tension, is an amazing idea. Because the film depicts friendships that fall apart in the face of unanticipated dangers, the thriller will be emotionally captivating. Because excellent thrillers allow the tension to grow gradually, that innocent-sounding opening is a great place to start. Character-driven storytelling, wh...

My introduction FT

Hi, my name is Bianca Pires, and you are reading my blog. I am a 15-year-old girl who attends Fort Lauderdale High as a sophomore. I have a small family that j ust consists of me, my brother, my sister, and my parents. I also   have the cutest cats; I have three of them even though I'm allergic to them. Other than my home life, in my per sonal life I love to watch sports. Not any sports, just Formula One and soccer mostly. I get excited whenever it's ra ce week or when a driver gets switched from teams. I also love going to football games with my four best friends and having sleepovers. But that's only in America. I used to live in Portugal for a couple of years before my family moved to Florida, so I go back every summer. I visit my grandma, cousin s, and basically my whole bloodline. I go out to parties there and live my best life when I'm there. I barely remember why we ever left in the first place. I had to learn English and Portuguese about 2 times...
