Production Blog for Commercial

Image
Today, I wrapped up all the sports scenes of the actors playing badly. I ensured each scene was done right and carefully watched the clips to ensure I didn't need to reshoot anything. After that, I went on to start filming the fun parts. In these shots, I did the actors playing phenomenal. I shot all the sports scenes, and I directed them. Once all four scenes had been shot, I went through all the takes and cleared them for the final draft of the commercial. Then, once all the sports scenes were ready and set to go, I filmed the last clip for the ending and was done shooting. It did take a while to get the actors to play well since they weren't used to playing those sports, but I made it work and put some clips together to make it look like they were better than professional athletes (which they definitely were not).

Today, I finished filming the basketball and football scenes. And as you may know from the storyboard, these scenes are just like the others. I failed dramatically in the basketball scene, which was pretty easy due to my terrible basketball skills. I directed this scene as well as the football scene. Due to the hurricane coming towards Florida, it was getting really windy, so I had to cut our filming day short, but I did get some good shots beforehand. For props, I used a football for the football scene. And for the basketball scene, I just used a basketball. I didn't need too many props today, but it still came out perfect. Although it was windy, which was a disadvantage, I used it for my benefit. I positioned the camera towards the back of the actor while the wind was blowing so it looked more dramatic.

On Sunday, the 23rd, me and my group went to the park to film the first two sports. Haley was the actor playing pickleball, so she wore athletic attire and had her pickleball paddle and ball. We filmed multiple takes of Haley hitting the ball and the camera following it into the net. It was a bit hard to miss on purpose. After that, we moved to the sand volleyball court and repeated the process. Haley helped with the filming of the volleyball actor. She took multiple takes of her hitting the ball into the net. Multiple takes were necessary because we didn't want to accidentally get people in the background. It was very hot outside, which was good because as the actors got sweaty, they looked more tired. This is perfect for what we were going for. We then filmed the volleyball actor and Haley hitting the ball over the net and scoring. We didn't have to worry about the background noise because Haley would mute the videos and put music over it. I did the directing. I showed what t...

Storyboard for Redbull Commercial

Image
As shown in our Storyboard, The first scene that will be played out in our commercial will be someone playing pickleball and playing horribly. The same goes for the second scene where someone is playing volleyball and failing at the game. This theme goes on for the next two scenes but for someone playing basketball and football. Of them not being able to control or catch the ball. Then for the next scene, once all the players are shown being terrible at their games, a split screen that goes 4 ways shows each player being handed a Red Bull. Once handed the Redbull, they all open the can of Redbull. Then they all take a sip. The last scene is all players playing better than before and winning.

Our Pitch for the Commercial

Image
Our group came up with two commercial ideas. One for Redbull, and the second for Nike.   The first pitch is our Redbull commercial. This commercial will start off with any sport like soccer, tennis, basketball, anything. And one player will be doing very bad. They won't be scoring, they would be tripping, falling over, and being really bad at the game. And then that player falls and when they fall we make a close-up of the player and someone hands them a Redbull. Then after they drink it they are the best player on the court or field. They're making all the points, dodging everyone, and running like they have all the energy in the world. Then the commercial ends with the player making the winning point and the team cheers. This is followed by the camera slowly moving away from the team cheering and onto the sky which then spells out, Redbull the drink that gives you wings.  The second pitch is of course the Nike commercial. This would include attire such as sneakers, knee...

Get to know my group

Hello, I am Bianca and this is my blog. I would like to introduce you to my Media Studies group. I am working with Addyson Queen, Haley Militzok, and Kasey Sabrin. I chose to work with these girls because they have amazing educational talents and ideas. Addyson is great with cameras and editing. She is the woman for the job. Haley always has ideas fresh in her head. She has a new idea and pitches every day for our group to discuss. And Kasey has amazing organization and directing skills. She will be able to help organize everything we need for any assignment and lead us through the entire way. These ladies are extremely talented and smart and in my opinion, will be amazing group members. But of course, I won't forget about my contribution. I will be a good group member to them because I too have amazing ideas to contribute to everyone. I am also good at editing videos and making their ideas a reality. Using all of our talents together we can create amazing work. With Addyson's...

Introduction

Hi, my name is Bianca Pires, and you are reading my blog. I am a 15-year-old girl who attends Fort Lauderdale High as a sophomore. I have a small family that j ust consists of me, my brother, my sister, and my parents. I also   have the cutest cats; I have three of them even though I'm allergic to them. Other than my home life, in my per sonal life I love to watch sports. Not any sports, just Formula One and soccer mostly. I get excited whenever it's ra ce week or when a driver gets switched from teams. I also love going to football games with my four best friends and having sleepovers. But that's only in America. I used to live in Portugal for a couple of years before my family moved to Florida, so I go back every summer. I visit my grandma, cousin s, and basically my whole bloodline. I go out to parties there and live my best life when I'm there. I barely remember why we ever left in the first place. I had to learn English and Portuguese about 2 times e...
