Editing
After filming the first half of our short film, I gathered all the clips from my bedroom and beach and transferred them from my camera to my laptop. Once I had all of the clips on my laptop, I realized we had a lot of bloopers, so I went through about 50 clips and picked out the ones that worked out the way I wanted them to look. Once I got the desired clips i went to a software/app called After Effects and transferred all the clips onto there in the correct order of events. Once I had all the. clips in order i went back and adjusted the clips so there weren't any sudden cuts. For example, at the end of a lot of the clips, the camera was shaking from cutting the video or my group mates talking, so I cut those parts out. I also made sure the clips blended together smoothly to make the multiple angles look like the camera never moved at all. After that i went back to make sure it looked good and fixed any mishaps I might have missed. Once everything looked good, I sent the edited clips to my group mates to get their opinion on the draft, and they also agreed that it looked ready. Once we film Brad's (Rowan's) scenes i will do the same and then edit the lighting, background music, and sounds. But for now, the current scenes we have filmed have been properly edited and are ready to be in the final draft.
