Group Introduction

Hello, I am Bianca, and welcome to my blog site. I am pleased to introduce all of you to my Media Studies group members. I am teaming up with two other exceptionally talented individuals. Their names are Addyson Queen and Lorena Rondon. I chose to partner with these girls because of their impeccable educational skills and creative ideas. Addyson has outstanding artistic skills when it comes to filming and video editing. She really is one genius when it comes to filming and video editing. Her mind operates with an endless resource of fresh and original ideas all the time. She even pitches an entirely different idea to our group for discussion almost every day. Lorena, on the other hand, is one genius when it comes to organization and directing skills. She will play an important role in systematically gathering all the things we need systematically for every single assignment. Not to mention the fact that she is perfectly suited for leading and directing us throughout this entire process as well. Both of these women are exceptionally intelligent and talented. I am confident that they will end up being absolutely outstanding group members for us all. Of course, I should mention other important skills and talents I will contribute to our group as well. I will make an outstanding group member because I have an endless resource of fabulous ideas to contribute to all of our projects as well. Not to mention the fact that I am highly skilled when it comes to video editing and turning their ideas into visual art as well. With all of our remarkable skills combined, I am positive I know we will all make some outstanding artistic endeavors together.

For this film, my group and I used my own camera. So, I had to transfer the videos to my phone and edit the movie. This was a lengthy process but I did a good job. I got all the clips, good and bad, and watched all of them. I got the best clips and left the bloopers and unnatural clips behind. Once I got all the clips and cut some of them for smoother transitions from each scene. I then made sure the lighting was perfect. In some of the clips I did have to edit the coloring to make it appear a little brighter but also still keep that weary effect by making it have a little shadow-like effect.  With that, I moved on to the sounds. For the scene where I am in bed in silence, I wanted to have a glass-breaking sound. So, what I did was when my group went to break the glass for the next scene I recorded the sound on my phone. I then layered that sound onto the film and it came out just as I imagined.

Film Websites and Postcards

  When researching film websites and postcards, I found a website and a postcard for the movie Love, Rosie. The website is pretty simple. It includes the postcard with all the information about the movie, including: Genre: Comedy, Romance; Director: Christian Ditter;  and  Producers:  Robert Kulzer and Simon Brooks. It also included a short description of the movie and a trailer. I liked the addition of the description of the movie, so those who haven't watched it can read it and get intrigued to watch it. Although I think the website itself should've included more information.  The postcard for Love, Rosie included the main actors in an embrace, the title design up front, the actors' names, and a short sentence on the movie topic. I especially liked the short, singular sentence because it can attract people to the movie by making them wonder what it could mean. There wasn't anything I didn't particularly enjoy.
