Film Review: Changes Made
I made some adjustments, mostly to the lighting, after receiving input from my peers. Although many people enjoyed the spooky atmosphere, some said that some scenes were too dark to make out crucial details. I wanted to ensure that everything remained visible while maintaining the dystopian atmosphere. I fixed this by adjusting my camera's brightness so that the shadows wouldn't be too strong. In a few shots where it was difficult to see the character's face, I also slightly increased the exposure. Particularly the part in the dark room where the protagonist must wake up. After seeing the revised version, one of my classmates commented that the change significantly improved the tone without detracting from it. My mother said she liked the lighting and saw that I had adjusted it, but the suspense remained the same. Another friend claimed that the world felt more realistic because they could now see the little details in the background. Additionally, the shots I used appeared clearer, which strengthened the alluring experience. Since most people liked how the color grading enhanced the dystopian atmosphere, I kept it the same. Additionally, I ensured that the mystery was maintained by the contrast between the light and shadow. My close friend noted that the emotional impact was increased because it was now easier to read the main character's expressions. I learned from the comments that minor lighting adjustments can enhance a movie without detracting from its core meaning. According to one classmate, the better lighting increased their curiosity about what will happen next. Another said that now that they could see more details in the darker scenes, the suspense felt more acute. I'm pleased with the way the finished product looks. Although I didn't change much, the minor tweaks had a significant impact. I learned the importance of lighting from this process. In my upcoming projects, I'll give it more thought.
