 Hello, I am Bianca and this is my final task group introduction blog. I would like to introduce you to my Media Studies group. I am working with Addison Queen, Haley Militzok, and Kasey Sabrin. I chose to work with these girls because they have amazing educational talents and ideas. Addyson is great with cameras and editing. She is the woman for the job. Haley always has ideas fresh in her head. She has a new idea and pitches every day for our group to discuss. Kasey also has amazing organization and directing skills. She will be able to help organize everything we need for any assignment and lead us through the entire way. These ladies are extremely talented and smart and will be amazing group members. But of course, I won't forget about my contribution. I will be a good group member because I too have amazing ideas to contribute to everyone. I am also good at editing videos and making their ideas a reality. Using all of our talents together we can create amazing work. With Addyson's Filming skills. Haley's ideas and creations. Kasey's directing skills. Finally my editing skills, we will make an amazing group and create masterpieces.

For this film, my group and I used my own camera. So, I had to transfer the videos to my phone and edit the movie. This was a lengthy process but I did a good job. I got all the clips, good and bad, and watched all of them. I got the best clips and left the bloopers and unnatural clips behind. Once I got all the clips and cut some of them for smoother transitions from each scene. I then made sure the lighting was perfect. In some of the clips I did have to edit the coloring to make it appear a little brighter but also still keep that weary effect by making it have a little shadow-like effect.  With that, I moved on to the sounds. For the scene where I am in bed in silence, I wanted to have a glass-breaking sound. So, what I did was when my group went to break the glass for the next scene I recorded the sound on my phone. I then layered that sound onto the film and it came out just as I imagined.

Film Websites and Postcards

  When researching film websites and postcards, I found a website and a postcard for the movie Love, Rosie. The website is pretty simple. It includes the postcard with all the information about the movie, including: Genre: Comedy, Romance; Director: Christian Ditter;  and  Producers:  Robert Kulzer and Simon Brooks. It also included a short description of the movie and a trailer. I liked the addition of the description of the movie, so those who haven't watched it can read it and get intrigued to watch it. Although I think the website itself should've included more information.  The postcard for Love, Rosie included the main actors in an embrace, the title design up front, the actors' names, and a short sentence on the movie topic. I especially liked the short, singular sentence because it can attract people to the movie by making them wonder what it could mean. There wasn't anything I didn't particularly enjoy.
