Production

Actually, finding the teen actors for my music video was kind of fun. I first talked to people at school. Even if a person was not in theater, they may have been interested anyway since they enjoyed performing. Then, I asked my friends to do it even if they'd never acted before. Some times, people surprise you and can turn out really good at something they never tried. It was all about showing them how cool it would be. I had explained to them it was only for school and it should be really fun and chill, without being too serious. Another idea was to ask my friends if they knew any other person probably interested. Word of mouth went a long way in finding people. Teaming up with someone who knew a lot of students went a long way. Also, people seemed more comfortable working with someone they already knew. That's why I tried to get a group of friends involved. If I couldn't find any people who wanted to act, I looked for those who loved music or filmmaking-they were already excited about the idea of being in a music video. Some people just wanted to do it for the fun of being in front of a camera. It helped to show them that I had everything planned out so they knew it wouldn't be chaotic. I think it was keeping the vibe fun and relaxed that helped people get convinced. Plus, it was a cool way to hang out and do something creative together. It was all about asking the right people in the end and making them feel comfortable.
