Music Video Introduction

 Hi, my name is Bianca Pires, and you are reading my blog. I am a 15-year-old girl who attends Fort Lauderdale High as a sophomore. I have a small family that just consists of me, my brother, my sister, and my parents. I also have the cutest cats; I have three of them even though I'm allergic to them. Other than my home life, in my personal life I love to watch sports. Not any sports, just Formula One and soccer mostly. I get excited whenever it's race week or when a driver gets switched from teams. I also love going to football games with my four best friends and having sleepovers. But that's only in America. I used to live in Portugal for a couple of years before my family moved to Florida, so I go back every summer. I visit my grandma, cousins, and basically my whole bloodline. I go out to parties there and live my best life when I'm there. I barely remember why we ever left in the first place. I had to learn English and Portuguese about 2 times every time we moved from the United States to Portugal. I'm still unsure to this day why we kept moving back and forth. However, I'm still glad nonetheless because if I hadn't, I wouldn't have met all the beautiful and fantastic people I know today. I have best friends in Portugal. And I have best friends in America. And I couldn't be any more grateful for them. And of course, the opportunities my parents gave me to have both of those worlds. I am extremely excited to start my music video.

For this film, my group and I used my own camera. So, I had to transfer the videos to my phone and edit the movie. This was a lengthy process but I did a good job. I got all the clips, good and bad, and watched all of them. I got the best clips and left the bloopers and unnatural clips behind. Once I got all the clips and cut some of them for smoother transitions from each scene. I then made sure the lighting was perfect. In some of the clips I did have to edit the coloring to make it appear a little brighter but also still keep that weary effect by making it have a little shadow-like effect.  With that, I moved on to the sounds. For the scene where I am in bed in silence, I wanted to have a glass-breaking sound. So, what I did was when my group went to break the glass for the next scene I recorded the sound on my phone. I then layered that sound onto the film and it came out just as I imagined.

Film Websites and Postcards

  When researching film websites and postcards, I found a website and a postcard for the movie Love, Rosie. The website is pretty simple. It includes the postcard with all the information about the movie, including: Genre: Comedy, Romance; Director: Christian Ditter;  and  Producers:  Robert Kulzer and Simon Brooks. It also included a short description of the movie and a trailer. I liked the addition of the description of the movie, so those who haven't watched it can read it and get intrigued to watch it. Although I think the website itself should've included more information.  The postcard for Love, Rosie included the main actors in an embrace, the title design up front, the actors' names, and a short sentence on the movie topic. I especially liked the short, singular sentence because it can attract people to the movie by making them wonder what it could mean. There wasn't anything I didn't particularly enjoy.
